innocentlyjaded: (an artistic mess)
It's 1:30 in the morning here. I need to sleep because of work, but I'm still up and scanning a whole lot of songs to stock my new-old ipod classic (80gb) that my sister had bequeathed to me last christmas (since what seems like one-fourth of humanity have also taken to their iphones for that).

So the majority of songs on Suu (yes, that's her name :3) belong to Tori Amos, Tom Waits and Shiina Ringo. I'm looking forward to [ profile] mienaihoshi's L'arc en Ciel, Luna Sea, Vocaloid and Nico Nico Douga ones. I'll dig up my old music cds once everything's been settled.

And [ profile] lanoyee just recc'ed Laleh to me, and she sounds awesome ^^

Haven't been able to post anything on the book blog since I was down with fever for the past few days :/ I owe it my book wishlist and general reading plan for 2011 (which... well, no plans yet).

I'm also starting on re-reading all of the Harry Potter books before the final installment of the Deathly Hollows movie opens later this year. Well, re-read 1-4, since I wasn't able to read 5-7, aheh.

[ profile] heterotopic, your answers are coming up!

Go listen to her new single, "When Under Ether".

It's beautiful and haunting. Makes me wish I continued my piano lessons. Actually, listening to Tori Amos everyday always makes me wish I continued my piano lessons. Feh.

Am also currently listening to the Audiobook of The Neverending Story, by Michael Ende. Fancy that, me only knowing now that the movie was just the first part of the book itself. And that the author didn't want anything to do with the movie because it deviated from his book.

Downloading the Byousoku 5 OST right now. T__T

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, they must be songs you are presently enjoying. Post these instructions in your Live Journal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. "Out of my Mind" - Duran Duran (The Saint OST)
2. "Shijitsu no Uta" - Do As Infinity
3. "Gamble" (Heisei Fuuzoku ver.) - Shiina Ringo
4. "Dream Catcher" - OLIVIA
5. "Rehab" - Amy Winehouse
6. "I Do" - Ilaria Graziano (Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig OST)
7. "No Fear Ai Suru Koto" - Maaya Sakamoto

† left for Baguio on the morning of Black Saturday. went back to Manila on the afternoon of Easter Sunday. didn't get to enjoy it at all (well, not really. i reckon the cool air was worth the trip alone). brought home at least 2 kilos of strawberries (all sitting in the ref, since our blender's broken. no strawberry shakes for me -_-;). would've loved to go by the Baguio Botanical Gardens (freefall memories), but companions not very eager to go out stopped me from doing so. tch. will try to go there solo or with friends next time. that or we'll push to Sagada.

† bought 3 books again, courtesy of Leah&Jay on The Witching Hour by Anne Rice (been looking for this book for ages, On The Road by Jack Kerouac (i finally get to read it, Sumire's of-the-moment, favorite book) and Kimono: Fashioning Culture by Liza Dalby (easily the steal of the pack ^_^). all for just 565 bucks ^_^ love the both of them.

now, for that something you have to do:

† go to Mistula. click on II (Music). Click on the first name, Nuestra Señora Dolorosa. listen to it streaming or (better yet) download it. listen. tell me what you think. while you're there, listen to the three other songs (just as good) and browse the site. Icons of worship they truly are. Dolorosa is on repeat on my Winamp right now.

Ikaw ang gitara sa aking gitara / at kay nipis ng lahat kapag wala ka

EDIT: The Bibliochaise. nice concept, dunno about the execution.
