The singer, not the color. (... as long as it's not neon pink, anyway)

That's two songs of hers, now, that have become "touchstone" tunes of my life. Yes, I have songs that define my life, or at least how I see it. It's just a few songs though, and for the life of me I cannot remember all of them right now ;__; My memory's really been crap for the past couple of years now.

Anyway, from Pink, it's "Just Like A Pill" and "Sober"

(A characteristic of a touchstone tune: it gets repeated over and over again on my player, for a week at least)

... I guess I have to search my scattered music collection to re-discover the touchstone tunes I had all through those years.

How about you guys? Do you have songs that have defined your life/ a moment/ moments in your life? Share~

As a friend put it, it's the anti-Twilight song. IE. my life is not over without you, significant other.

Yes. Right now "You Found Me" by The Fray, "All These Things That I've Done" by the Killers, "Sometime Around Midnight" by Airborne Toxic Event, "Stronger" bye Kanye West, and "Mona Lisa" by All American Rejects.

RETARDED STUFF, MOSTLY, lots of tracks off the Nightmare Before Christmas album.

I have a lot, really... I guess music just tends to generally move me.

One I listen to a lot when I'm down? "Starlight" by Muse. I don't know why, it just makes me happy in a bittersweet kinda way.

[cuddles lots and lots]

Yeah, I have, too. None by Pink, I'm afraid, but I've definitely got some--the only one I can think of right now is a bit painful to share, though. :-/

What no Alanis?!?

For the past month, Metallica's No Leaf Clover. Before that John Mayer's Why Georgia. Both songs are kind of talking about the same thing except at different stages of the timeline, imo.

A few other songs: Linkin Park's Given Up, 6 Cycle Mind's Sandalan and Incubus' Dig.

Can't really think of the other ones at the moment.

... I've got some old No Doubt songs for that. What. Also the The Lion King Soundtrack. And some embarassing things. And some children's songs.

Lately, it's been, hmm. Mostly Shiina Ringo/Tokyo Jihen. "Gamble", "Juusui Negai", the Electric Mole Versions of Meisai, Tsumi to Batsu, Mayonaka wa Junketsu. Senkou Shoujo. Karisome Otome.

Reminiscing~~~~ X3

*is reminded that she should download Pink's latest album*

Back in high school my touchstone tunes consisted mainly of songs by The Cranberries, Boyzone, Spice Girls, Garbage & Evanescence. XD

I got through my college days listening to DAI, Incubus, & Linkin Park songs... oohh Laruku, too~! ♥

Now I've been listening to a lot of random songs from random indie bands... which are great~ ♥ Bloc Party's acoustic version of Signs, Finger Eleven's I'll Keep Your Memory Vague and that song from the Converse ad (My Drive Thru, which is very catchy~ :3) are constantly on repeat in my iTunes right now. :3
