Reviving an old meme.

(Because this is better than what I had in mind to post. That will still find its way here)

Comment here and I will write a completely made up and fictional memory of you and me.

"... remember that time we got stuck in that city for an awfully long time?" I asked. We were seated at the park bench you frequent when you take Maddy out for a walk. We met again after a while of not seeing each other. You started teaching and had Maddy while I quit my job and was starting to focus on writing as a career.

"I thought we would never get out of that place!" you laughed, bouncing your adorable baby girl on one knee. It was purely by chance that I encountered both of you in the park last week, and I've been going to the park every day since then. The book I was writing was going nowhere fast, and I needed a break.

I laughed too. "True. That was the longest we'd been in a single place. I still wonder why we were left there in the first place."

You shrugged. "Could've forgotten us? Knowing him..."

"Ha." I scoffed. Though it wouldn't be a surprise if it were true. "... do you miss it?"

Maddy was reaching her arms to you and you gathered her up in yours. "Yes, of course. It was short, but I still dream about the places we went to, most nights." You turn to me with an unreadable look in your face. "You?"

"I guess I shouldn't have asked, huh?"

"Yup."

A gust of wind stirred the fallen leaves that were littered at our feet. Followed by a sound that the both of us did not expect to hear again after all those years.

That is amazing and I love it!
