rainbow socks!

lethologica to (1.) Megamall for her to scout a dress for their upcoming company party. ne, the skirt was cute, but i really, really, really liked that white top. *wibbles*. and the right blazer will make it bee-yoo-ti-fuuul!!! *wibbles again* sorry if i acted like a loon with the dress-picking.
and went with her and her officemate Ric/k (?) to (2.) Quiapo for her DVD series purchases. For any non-Filipino readers (hahah, parang meron), Quiapo is the place to go to purchase, eherm, pirated DVDs. wow, i haven't seen that much series shopping on one go ^_^ (wibbles for the X-Files. i think i'll drop a line to my sister). despite my cash-strapped state, was able to buy 5 pretty good movies ( with 45-50 pesos a cd ^^).

what a coup! i've been away from Quiapo for too long. the last time i was there, the DVDs cost 70-80/piece. now it's down to around 45-50! ^_^ *is happy* also glad that i found Lucia y el sexo for Eiri (sorry i didn't know about the Tokyo Godfathers. i'll be going back there before August ends and i'll buy it for you ^^ and first dibs on Lucia!).
happy that i found the first two anime movies. i've been eyeing those for download for some time (now all i have to get is Perfect Blue and Voices of a Distant Star oh shoot! i just remembered. why didn't i get the Fist of the North Star movie?! aieeee!). i also saw 2 Macross movies aaaand the first 3 Gundam movies (i think i also saw the 2 more recent ones. definitely going back for those. argh! more to add to expenses... guh... )
was surprised to find last 3 titles floating about there. read about Hard Candy and Brick in the Twitch site, while Chel (or was it Ardee?) told me about Feed. there was already a cam-rip DVD of A Scanner Darkly (oi, Jhamie!). i was all ready to buy it, even if it was just cam-ripped, but it was dark, and bad, and skewed (the perspective, that is) that i decided to wait for the DVD copy.
was dog tired when i got home, but pretty happy with the whole thing.
oh, and i'm going to try to doodle what i want Eiri to look like on party night! ^_^
Chel! could i borrow the Cinema Paradiso now! and let's go back to Plaza Fair. want to raid the DVDs there again ^_^
