innocentlyjadeddamn.
my cd drive just ate a cd. no, that's just not right, it utterly destroyed, shattered, mutilated my cd (kaichou, gomen! it was the cd with the first to eigth volume of Nana, the Anna Tsuchiya vids, the Hyde album, and... er, i forgot). me and ghamby (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
luminaux_yume) were watching Anna's "Slap that Naughty Body" PV when we suddenly heard this sickening crunch that came from the cd bay.
hoooly shit, the cd drive shattered my cd!
i opened the tray and found small pieces. dammit, i would've been glad for large ones, but... argh. me and ghambz used twissors and a fine brush to remove all the pieces that we can. now i have to bring the cpu to a technician to have the cd bay cleaned and determine if it can be used again. thank god i just finished burning at least half of the files i needed to burn into cds. have 18GB left. but can't download or burn stuff until a). the cd bay's fixed or, b). it be replaced with a new cd bay (hopefully, with a DVD-/+RW).
goddammit, i feel wretched. i feel at fault. ghamby's knocking some sense into me, but i'm too hard-headed to listen. mou... i hope i can use it again... soon.

Date: 2006-05-11 08:32 pm (UTC)That reminds me of what happened to me a couple of years ago. The CD just FLEW out of the tray when it opened, in a few large pieces. Though it never happened again, probably a weird fluke.
