Usually, one would say that they're afraid they'd fall, being seated so near to the edge. That's what I would say too.
But after staring at this picture, I came to this conclusion; Or maybe, being that close to the edge, I might give in to the urge of pushing myself beyond, using my feet. Then realizing my stupidity too late as I hurtle to the ground.
