I...couldn't think of anything at the time I signed up for LJ. ^^;;; I'd made myself a junk email address a little while earlier called myxginxblossoms, and I was like, well, that's as good as anything else, and voila. In retrospect, it's not a terrible choice, but it's also kind of silly. ^^;; The username itself, though...well, gin blossoms as in the band, and my because the band Gin Blossoms' name is in reference to, like, rosacea, I think? And I don't have rosacea, but I liked that gin blossoms could be a thing you possessed. And X's in between because it makes me lol how pseudo-badass those are.
Tl;dr: My penchant for 90s alt-rock rears its ugly head. ^_-

I hate it how people try to match meanings, but not sounds. I think this is partly why I love Portuguese so much - it breaks every consistent rule of "phonetic aesthetics" that I have ever treasured. It's beautiful.
Ummmmm, I started with English at a very early age, sooooo, not to my (admittedly, rather vague) recollections? Per whole, English isn't all that difficult. It's losing the Romanian not!accent that's slightly more taxing, but speech patterns form at particular, varying ages, depending on each tongue - and I think they're significantly more flexible with Romanian.
