a very, very late 5 questions meme from [livejournal.com profile] lanoyee

⇢ Leave me a comment saying "DOOT DOOT DOOT DOOT."
⇢ I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better.
⇢ Update your journal with the answers to the questions.
⇢ Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions

1. What are you immediate life plans? Tell me about them!
Mm, my want to study and improve my photography skills. And perhaps start seeing it seriously as a career option because I'm not seeing myself staying in an office setting for a long time. This, and my ongoing battle struggle practice with calligraphy. Which is also looking to be a possible career option as well.

Oh, and Japanese. Mustn't forget about that ^^

ALL THIS! PLUS! how to iron clothes! :3

2. You get a free ticket to a place of your choice, SOMEWHERE in the world. Where is it?

... does it have to be in this world? ^^ (I'd love to go to the Dreaming, but duh, all I have to do is to close my eyes.) But if so, it'd be in Kyoto, Japan ^^

3. Do you collect anything, or used to? What is it?

I used to collect comic books when I was in grade school (mostly Spawn, Gen13, WildCATS and WetWorks. Image girl, lol). I still do, in a way. But they're mostly Vertigo titles now ^^ I also collect... books, ahah. Notebooks and blank cards/postcards make up another part of my collection, but the latter bits tend to get sent to friends when my mood to write strikes.

Ah, right. I collect books that focus on Geisha culture. And am starting on Guy Gavriel Kay and Jeanette Winterson books.

4. Who are your favorite artists (no matter if classical, comic, modern etc.)?

For comics, it'll have to be P. Craig Russell and Jon J. Muth (yes, they've all drawn for The Sandman. There's another one, but his name escapes me at the moment). Bill Sienkiewicz (see Elektra: Assassin) and Mike Mignola. I also like the Moon Brothers' art, but I've yet to see whole comics that they're drawn. I haven't read any manga for ages, but Hiroaki Samura still has my heart with that respect ^^

I like the style of Art Nouveau, so I'm mostly attracted to Gustav Klimt's work. And I'd love to say more on the subject or art, but I can't find my little book of art to make me sound smart and all XD

5. Describe to me what Elaine and Kira actually going out would be like!

al;ksgf;alksjdf ahahahah, you still remember this!

It would be... awkward at first, since Kira = younger!Lucifer of another universe! Sam (Vertigo!Lucifer) has been her constant tormentor/adviser and I suspect she secretly thinks of him as a father figure to her (more than her father has ever been at least) and perhaps something even more...

So that's where Kira comes in XD It helps that he's in her age range, and is sort-of-responsible yet fun to be around with. So I think Elaine would really flirt with Kira a lot at first. She'd probably develop serious feelings for him for a while, but I don't see it going beyond a certain length of time. But she'd definitely still want to be very good friends with him no matter what ^^

For those who'd like a bit of crossover hijinks with their Labyrinth (of course, it's he of the criminally tight spandex pants Bowie >3) webcomic, check out Girls Next Door. So far it has Phantom of the Opera, Pirates of the Caribbean, Les Miserables, Lord of the Rings, Sweeney Todd, Good Omens, Howls' Moving Castle and Neverwhere in its' roster ^^ A very good read, the art's excellent too.

*glomps*

Hi hi hiiiii. Gah, I've been wanting to read your Temeraire fics forever, but I haven't started on the books yet ;__;

1. Describe what a perfect day would be like.
2. If you were allowed to take any number of courses in college, what would those courses be?
3. ... dragons or unicorns?
4. How would you explain Labyrinth to me if I completely missed the 80's?
5. What would be the one book you'd cherish reading over and over again?

*glomps back ohay ohay*

Ahahahahaha, my Temeraire fics. Their primary virtue is their number--a lot of them are fairly eh, and since they're a modern AU, the books aren't strictly necessary. XD YOU SHOULD TOTALLY READ THE BOOKS, THOUGH, because they are really neat and I think they are nice.
