lethologica's & allslashedout's place the next day (because all the coffee shops were closed last maundy thursday. boo) instead to watch "A Scanner Darkly".***
... making some icons. making some "Mirrormask" ones i promised
queen_akasha72. but i'm a-buzz on making "Marie Antoinette" ones, because lethologica let me borrow her DVD disc of it. AND I LOVE IT. i took a ton of screencaps (200+), plan to make a lot of icons (all Kirsten-centric), and probably a mood set, because Kirsten certainly went through a gamut of emotions.yes, i love, love, love the movie. it certainly portrays the french queen in an entirely different light; as a teenager thrust into marriage with a shy Louis Auguste and shoved headlong into the treacherous royal court in Versailles. i'm definitely going to seek out the book Sofia Coppola based the movie on, "Antoinette: The Journey" by Lady Antonia Fraser. i'd also love to read "Sex with Kings", since Marianne and Faye were curious about Madame du Barry. but i'm snowed under with a lot of books yet-to-be-read, most of them from Marianne XD.
WATCH "MARIE ANTOINETTE". i'm watching it again later :D the colors in the film are fabulous. the food is even more so (all those macaroons and pastries got me and my sister hankering for some macaroons from Bizu!).
