polychromatic.
No, I'm not browsing as the residents post their entries telling either what game they're in because it's a Game Day curse.
... *sighs* This is going to be harder than I thought XD

An enjoyable Read or Die meeting earlier at the Fandom Cafe in Cubao (I didn't even know such a place existed. Pretty nifty). I didn't know if I had any sci-fi or fantasy books to donate to their library (will they want a one-volume edition of a Harper Collins Lord of the Rings?), but when I saw their shelves I figured I could donate the 3 Alien movie adaptation books I have buried around here somewhere...
(Feh. Met with
lethologica and
mienai_hoshi to eat, basically. I thank Bread Talk for filling my stomach with my breakfast and lunch and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf for that wonderful Chai latte. I think I'll be ordering that more often there.
team7 ran into us there, so at least she knew we'd be attending ^__^
And went to National Bookstore first before proceeding to Fandom Cafe, where I gave in and bought the black Aziraphale cover version of the Good Omens Harper Torch paperback edition, as opposed to Marianne's white Crowley one, and Marianne sweeped the last four TPBs of Lucifer. Gaaah. Me envy.)
So many things to do for the New World's Alliance con (going to be my first NWA! I'm excited!), and the Manila International Book Fair! This is certainly worth getting off my lazy butt and concentrating on working and writing again. And posting to the RoD blog (WHICH IS A GREAT READ, PEOPLE! GO AND READ! ^__^). I haven't done research for the longest time. Well actually, I think I haven't really done any proper research period. I'll have to shape up for this one. I haven't felt this... mm, energized and excited about something for some time now. I think it was back before the first RodCon too. I HOPE IT DOESN'T, you know, FADE FAST LIKE MOST OF THE TIME! GAAAH!
Oh, Tin, I think Powerbooks stocks Gelo's poetry books. But you hardly see copies of it nowadays. The Nymph of MTV and else it was purely girls. And can you text me when you're going to UST? I'd like to go with you, if I can ^__^. I certainly miss the place... Hopefully I can tag along with you.
Ah, and it was good that you were able to talk about those things last night. It helps to talk about it, no? Not just write or type it down. The last time something ... like that happened to me, the first thing I wanted to do was call my mama, or at least one of my best friends from college. But since I wasn't able to do that, instead I called my childhood friend/neighbor (who was just on his way to work that night) and babbled on incoherently about what happened.
And I hope things with your parents get patched up soon. Sure, everything that happened after the first con might have happened for a reason, perhaps to make you more wiser and stronger, but the aftermath shouldn't have happened to you. Really. You're the most... awe-inspiring person I know, goodness me. ^___^
And yep, we'll be buckling down for work for the next 2 months! I'll be staying sharp! Er, just don't mind me if I have some episodes along the way? XD I'll keep them to a minimum, I swear XD
