innocentlyjaded: (what do you really see?)
-Because I'm making an actual entry at 7:19am.

-That I actually woke at 6am (5:55am on my mobile phone clock) when I was expecting to be flat unconscious until the alarm went off at 8:30am.

-Because this account is the one I logged on as instead of my usual [livejournal.com profile] polychromatic log on (but of course, it's the first comm I checked XD)

-Because I'm going back to UST today (with Tin and Mia [livejournal.com profile] anothermiyaw *waves hello*) to ask (... probably beg) them to take me back. Thanks Tin ^__^

It was a tiring yet fun yesterday when I accompanied Tin on her "rounds" for RoD. I will get into specifics on my next entry but basically we went to Anvil Publishing, the Ateneo Press, the National Book Development Board and the UP-ICW. I met the Marketing Manager of Anvil, Ms. Gwen Galvez (who was very down-to-earth and enthusiastic), the Executive Director of the National Book Development Authority, Atty. Andrea Pasion-Flores (who, aside from being a litigator, took her M.A. of Creative Writing in UP and is a published fictionist, I think) and Professors Vim Nadera (a very funny and likeable guy) and Rolando Baquiran. The last two names I have heard of often since my UST days.

In a bit I'll be joining Tin, Mia and others again in going to UST to talk to Prof. Lito Zulueta in the UST-CWC (maybe Gelo will be there. I'll get to see the inside of AB again. Oh, and Ate Alma too ^__^). Then proceed to the National Historical Institute in Kalaw for a meeting.

RoD is going places now~ ^__^

While we were in UP Tin showed me the bookstall where they have (to my surprise) some TPBs of the Sandman. Along with a lone copy of the first volume of the Absolute Sandman. Are those used books already? Because at 3,500, it isn't quite bad. Tin, tell me kung kelan ka pupunta ng Recto dahil sasama ako ^__^ There are nice books there too, but, like Tin said, if you can get them way cheaper in Recto, then I'm willing to make the extra effort to go there. I'm a book hoarder

We had lunch at the Beach House (where the barbeque was amaaaaaaa~zing, sayang nga lang hindi kami nakahanap ng pwesto sa labas) then, while waiting for [livejournal.com profile] lethologica, [livejournal.com profile] allslashedout and friends (they watched "Kamikaze Girls" in the Film Center), the two of us with Mia had dinner at the Chocolate Kiss Cafe. I love the Chocolate Kiss. Iced tea+honey=♥ Tin had the fish and chips, Mia had the ceasar salad, korean sukiyaki and chocolate chip cheesecake while I ordered the chicken and pesto with penne. I wasn't able to order a cake for dessert because I was a bit tired already, but it was worth it, really. I'm definitely going back to eat at those two places.
