Don't get me wrong though, I love the rain. Of how rainclouds darken the sky just before the first drops of rain come hurtling to earth. Of how there's this sense of anticipation that the heavens are about to unleash either a torrent or a drizzle. On how it just soaks everything with damp.

... just not when it soaks me while I'm outside going about on an errand with a flimsy umbrella. The tree I took refuge under didn't help much because the rain came down in big large drops. My shoes were soaked through, so were half of my jeans. I made the 4-hour commute home with the sounds of squishing in my shoes. I'm just thankful the package didn't get wet ^^;;;

Ah well, I'm home, and it's time to make myself some tea.

Oh, and this thing.

Yes, it doesn't help either that my wife loves that song and has me play it all the time. The non-English ones make up for it though I think.

Aheh. It is a very of-the-moment song. And the lead singer's voice is quite amazing. And only 18! Wow.

I don't know where it got started, but even Wikipedia talks about it. Supposedly, no one's ever seen Robin or heard her perform live. She's credited with writing and singing a lot of the "gibberish" songs for Yoko Kanno. It's very odd--kind of interesting too. :)

Oho~ That does sound intriguing. I wouldn't be surprised if if was Kanno herself, but she would have to have a pretty amazing accent to pull that off.

Right! And even if it's in gibberish, it still manages to sound quite beautiful~ I especially love the stuff she did with Maaya Sakamoto ♥
